Ann Curry

Ann Curry is a photojournalist as well as a journalist, author and has been covering war zones for the past 45 years. Her research focuses on the human suffering of disasters and human tragedy. Curry was a reporter for the wars within Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo, and Central African Republic. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in Agana) was an American TV anchor, reporter and journalist. She was most famous for her work as a reporter on The Today Show, a morning news program that was broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry became known in particular for her reporting on natural disasters and humanitarian crises which occurred in war-ravaged areas. Curry's maternal grandmother is Japanese and her father was an American Navy Sailor. Curry met her mother when she was stationed with her father in Japan after World War II. Family members were constantly moving due to her dad's military service. Curry completed her high schooling at Ashland Oregon. She graduated with a journalism diploma at the University of Oregon in 1978.
